Since June 2025, we have been labeling particularly climate-friendly dishes in our cafeterias with the KlimaTeller logo. This helps us create greater transparency and enables customers to make informed choices about climate-friendly eating.
We offer the Zero-Waste Plate at the University campus dining hall (Mensa) and the Neustadtswall dining hall (Mensa). Shortly after regular closing time, leftover meals and ingredients are offered at reduced prices.
In our cafeterias, unsold baked goods and snacks can be saved shortly after closing time using the“Too Good To Go” app. In addition to these consumer-focused initiatives, we also rely on demand-driven production and processing to prevent food waste. We use state-of-the-art equipment that offers energy savings of up to 40% compared to conventional equipment.
