Important information for sending e-mails to the Office for Educational Support

Please use the online portal www.bafög-digital.de (alternatively: by post)to submit your application and to submit additional documents, evidence and declarations . No application by e-mail.

As of now, there is only one central e-mail address for BAföG. If already available, the funding number (without dots, e.g. 200000015xxxxxx) must be stated in the subject line to enable direct assignment to the funding case.
In addition, the full name of the applicant must always be given.

Only e-mails that

The system automatically rejects and does not process emails that:

You can only submit legal declarations, such as objections, by e-mail if you have signed the document and scanned it as a PDF.

Inquiries about the processing status / receipt of documents will also not be answered by e-mail. Under"Status of application processing", we provide weekly updates on the date on which we are currently processing yourapplication.

All incoming channels (BAföG digital, sending by post, e-mails) are processed according to the date of receipt. Multiple submissions of the same documents via different channels significantly increase processing times.
